For those who like to know what candidates have done in their lives, here is my journey:

  • I was born in St-Léonard (Quebec), which is now part of Montreal. When I was young, my playgrounds were the Olympic Stadium and the Montreal Botanical Garden. My first computer was a Timex Sinclair 1000, which sparked my journey into computer science. I wrote my first program on it: a version of Pac-Man in Z80 assembler, programmed in hexadecimal code.
  • I worked for nearly 15 years at the Department of National Defense in Montreal, as a developer, network manager, business analyst (BA), and then as an IT systems security officer (OSSI).

  • My father was a property owner and president of the Montreal Property Owners' Association (LPM), a non-profit organization. This exposure to a non-profit organization encouraged me, years later, to get involved with Habitat for Humanity Montreal as a board member, to help build houses, and to have my first TV interview.

  • Later, with my nurse wife, we started a business with nearly 90 employees. My wife focused on services and human resources, while I, part-time, handled administration, the management system, and payroll. We sold the business for family reasons.

  • In 2012, I moved to the Gatineau area to become a tactical communication equipment manager for the Department of National Defense. However, with the Harper government's 2012 Deficit Reduction Action Plan (DRAP), I lost my job.
  • Thanks to a position exchange, I found myself at Innovation Canada (now Innovation, Science and Economic Development - ISED), where I gradually settled in, becoming a team leader and then a manager responsible for a team of 24 people in quality assurance (QAQC).

  • I started getting involved in our union around 2006, first as secretary of the Montreal Metro CS Sub-Group, and later became its president. I was also the secretary of the CS Group for several years and president of the Gatineau CS Sub-Group.
  • In 2014, I took the leap and became National Vice-President of PIPSC, a position I held for 7 years. Then various things happened in my personal life, and I took a step back from the public scene. I remained a member of the IT Group executive and continue to serve you.
